An 81-year-old woman died after driving the wrong way on Route 1 in Morrisville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The details: Police say the woman was heading north in the southbound lanes around 1:15 p.m. Her car hit a semi truck near the Pennsylvania Avenue exit.

The impact pinned her car against the median with the rear end up in the air.
The truck driver was also taken to the hospital. Details on the trucker's injuries were not released.

Both directions of Route 1 were shut down for several hours during the investigation, reported 6abc Philadelphia.
